High Speed Two is Europe’s largest infrastructure project, building a brand new high speed, zero carbon railway between Manchester, Birmingham and London. HS2 will help to level-up the country by freeing-up capacity on existing rail lines and bringing new investment and jobs to the Midlands and North.
How we build is as important as what we build and HS2 is leading the industry to decarbonise construction. All our sites will be diesel free by 2029 and the whole HS2 Project will be net-zero carbon from 2035. At FutureWorx 2022, HS2 is showcasing how this will be achieved through our extensive innovation programme, sharing live examples from HS2 sites and how our trials are being rolled out across the programme.
